My honey

어느 토요일 아침 이였습니다.  

늘어지게 아침 잠을 자고 나와 보니 이러고들 있네요..

I slept in a little one Saturday morning and this is what I came out to...

 아스팔트에 껌 딱지 마냥 딱 붙어서들...
They were all over daddy like white on rice...

우리 딸래미들은 아빠를 참 좋아합니다.
Our girls love their daddy.
새벽같이 일어나서는 잠 자고 있는 저희들 침대에 와서는 아빠를 찾습니다.
Every morning when they wake up and come into our room they go right to daddy.
그러면 신랑은 애들을 데리고 침대를 빠져나갔니다.
So daddy gets out of bed and makes them breakfast and turns on their favorite Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for them.
그래서 저는 덕분에 아침잠은 충분히 잘수있습니다.
So that means I get to sleep in a little more :)
그러고 보니 제가 신랑에게 참 고마운점이 많습니다.
There are a lot of things I am really grateful to my husband for.
신랑은...
아침에 출근전에 항상 혜빈이를 목욕시키고 학교에 데리고 갑니다.
Every morning he gives Olivia a bath then drives her to school.
그럼 저는 맘 편하게 아침을 먹고 헬스장서 운동을 할수있습니다.
That gives me time to eat breakfast then go to the gym to work out.
회사에서 돌아오면 피곤하기도 할텐데 양복을 벗기도 전에 애들과 신나게 놀아줍니다.
Every day when he comes home from work I'm sure he's tired but he plays with the girls even before he changes out of his suit.
그럼 저는 저녁식사를 아무방해 받지않고 준비할수있습니다.
That gives me time to get dinner ready without any interruptions.
밥을 다먹고 나면 아이들 잠옷입히고 이 닦이고 책을 읽어주고 잠자리 정리를 하는 사람도 신랑입니다.
After dinner he gets the kids ready for bed, brushes their teeth, reads them a book and puts them to bed.
그럼 저는 저녁 식사 후 뒷정리를 빨리 마무리 할수있습니다.
That gives me time to clean up the kitchen and do the dishes after dinner.
애들을 다 재우고 마지막 토네이도가 한바탕 지나간 마냥 장난감과 인형들과 책이 뒤죽박죽 정신없이 어질어져있는 아이들 놀이방을 치우는 사람도 우리 신랑입니다.
And after the kids are in bed he cleans up the kids playroom. By the end of the day it looks like a tornado had hit with all the toys, books, stuffed animals, etc. everywhere.
그럼 저는 푹신한 쇼파에 않아 이렇게 블러그를 할수있습니다.
This gives me the time to rest on the couch and post more blogs!
그리고 주말은 항상 우리 가족에게 할애하는 우리 신랑...
And every weekend he spends with our family....

추수감사절

혜빈이 학교에서 Thanksgiving( 추수감사절)기르기 위해 준비했답니다. 

Olivia had a Thanksgiving party at her school.

 마트 종이 봉투를 오려서 원주민 옷을 만들고 머리에는 깃털을 달아서 헤어밴드를 만들고 

파스타 면으로 색을 칠해 목걸이를 만들어서 목에 걸었습니다.
They made Indian clothes out of paper bags, and made Indian feather hats, and dried pasta necklaces.

Gobble Gobble.-Thanksgiving때 먹는 칠면조가 내는 소리입니다.

손으로 칠면조를 만들었데요. 

혜빈이 손이 어디있나?

They also made pictures of turkeys with their hand prints.

 

그리고 하단에 아이들이 하고 싶은 말을 선생님이 적어놓으셨데요.

혜빈이는 엄마 아빠가 있어서 참 좋다고 했데요..
Then they wrote what each kid was thankful for underneath their turkey drawings.  Olivia said that she's happy to have mommy and daddy! haha

나오는길에 학생들 키를 적어놓은표가 있네요..

반친구중에 우리 혜빈(Olivia)이가 세번째로 키가 크네요.

그래도 여자애들중에는 일등이네요. 

아빠 닮아서 키가 클려나...

By the door in her classroom they mark the height of all of the students.  Olivia is 3rd tallest behind two boys! She is the tallest girl though... must take after daddy's height.

This is Olivia's friend Sorelle..

반친구중 한 엄마가 반친구들에게 준비한 추수감사절 선물 입니다.

한명당 한마리씩. 오리올 쿠키로 만든 칠면조입니다.

그냥 먹어치우기에는 아까워서 한컷 찰칵...

이런거 준비할 생각도 못했는데..

내년에는 나도 꼭 무언가를 해야겠습니다.
One of the moms prepared these Oreo Turkey treats for all of the students. Maybe next year I'll try to make something too!

계속 밀어오던 차고 대 청소를 큰 맘먹고 시작했습니다.

말만 차고지 실은 창고겸  애들 놀이터겸 세탁실 입니다.

혼자 치우고 정리하다보니 생각보다 시간이 많이 걸렸습니다. 

이거 옮기고 저거 옮기고 이거 버리고 저거 버리고 하는동안 

조용해서 뒤를 돌아보니이렇게 둘다 조용히 자고 있네요. 

이렇게 정신없는 곳에서 이렇게 고요히 잠을 자고 있네요.

I finally got around to cleaning out the garage. We call it a garage but in reality it is just a mix of our storage room, laundry room and also a playground for the girls. It took me a long time to do by myself. Moving this and that, throwing stuff away and so on.  All of the sudden I realized how quiet it was so I went out to check on the girls and they were both zonked out. It was so cute.

혜빈이는 푸우인형과 놀다가 의자에 앉아서 스르르 잠이 들고..
Olivia was cuddled up to her Pooh bear....

다빈이는 그네를 태워달라고 해서 올려서 몇번 밀어주다가 다시 와보니 이렇게 자고 있고요.

Sophie was fell asleep in her favorite swing.

Star of the Week

이번주에 혜빈이가 학교에서 star of the week가 되었습니다.
일주일동안 혜빈이가 학급에서 반장이되어서 선생님도 도와주고
수업중에 나가서 급우들 앞에서 가족 소개하고 좋아하는것들과 되고싶어하는것들을 발표한다네요..
그래서 사진첩을 다 뒤져서 혜빈이가 좋아하는것들과 가족사진들 몇장 뽑고
옛날 스크랩 북하는 실력 발휘해서 오리고 붙히고 디자인해서 엄마가 밤 1시까지 만든 꼴라주입니다.
혜빈이 숙제 인데 왜 제가 밤을 새야하는지....
아~ 이제 나도 학부형이 되는구나...


그날 혜빈이 데리러 학교 갔는데 선생님께서 혜빈이 발표 참 잘했답니다.


Olivia was the "Star of the Week" in her preschool class this week.  She got to be line leader, and go in front of the class and tell them about herself.  Mommy stayed up until 1 a.m. making a collage of the different things Olivia likes to eat and do.I don't think this is the last time Mommy will be up late doing Olivia's homework:)
Mrs. Joslin said Olivia did a great job standing in front of the class and introducing herself.  Nice job!!

아이들 방이 이렇게 바꿨습니다. 

특별히 변한건 없고 그냥 페인트 색깔만 바꿨을 뿐인데 방이 훨씬 밝아졌습니다.

전등때문인지 핑크색이 진하게 보이네요.실제로 보면 훨씬 더 이쁜데... 

We re-decorated the girls room... All we really did was paint the walls in 12 in. stripes in two tones of pink and it made the room much brighter.  You can't really tell by the pictures, but the room turned out really cute.  It looks a lot better in person....

자기방이라면서 열심히 칠하네요..덕분에 엄마는 일이 두배..

Olivia loved helping us paint her room... but it doubled our work load haha..

줄 간격 계산하고 벽에 표시하는데 하루밤 보내고...

테이프 붙히면서 하루밤 보내고...

아이들 자는 시간에 하느라고 생각보다 오래걸렸습니다.

Drawing the lines with a level took a day.  Then taping took another day. Then painting took another day.  And then the final touch ups took another day!  

두가지 핑크색을 고르느라 고민도 많이 했는데 

다 칠해놓은거 보니 서로서로 어울리면서 고생한 보람이 있네요.

It took us a while to get the colors right, but I think we ended up with two pinks that really look good together.

여기는 다빈이 침대이고요..

요즘은 부쩍 부쩍 키가 커서 몇달후면 언니 침대처럼 큰 침대로 바꿔야 할거 같네요. 

This is Sophie's bed.  She's growing so fast that pretty soon we'll have to get her a big girl bed:)

우리 작은 시누가 찍어줬는데요.

못하는게 없는 수퍼 여인입니다.

Didn't this picture turn out cute??  My sister in law Amy took it.  She is really amazing.

작은 시누가 골라준 카페트 인데 첫날밤 자기전에 깔아놓으니 

보자마자 혜빈이 다빈이 누워서 이렇게나 좋아하네요... 

생각해보니 작은 시누가 이 방을 완성하는데 많은 도움을 줬네요..

Amy also picked out this rug and told us we had to get it. As soon as daddy laid it out, Olivia and Sophie laid right down on it.  They really like the rug because it is so soft.  Now that I think about it, Amy gave us a lot of good inspiration for this room.  Thank you!!

Saturday morning tradition.

 일주일 중 제가 젤 좋아하는  토요일이 돌아왔습니다.

We have a Saturday tradition we do every week now.

정확히 언젠가 부터시작 되었는지는 모르겠지만
토요일 아침 일나자마자 잠옷 바람으로 차를타고 이곳에 옵니다.

I'm not sure when we started doing this, but every week we wear our pajamas down to this donut shop in Newport Beach.

집에서 10분정도 거리인 도넛가게..

This is the Donut shop we go to.  It's about 10 minutes from our house.

일주일에 딱 한번만 먹을수 있어서 그런지 너무나도  맛있습니다. 

여기오면 항상 정해진 메뉴..신랑 초콧렛이 입혀있는 도넛과 케익스타일의 도넛 

저는 윕핑크림이 들어있는 도넛 한개

혜빈인 작은 도넛볼 5개.

다빈 당연히 집에서 가져온 식빵한개..

I don't know if it's because we only go once a week, but the donuts are the BEST!!
We always seem to get the same thing:  Daddy gets some sort of Chocolate covered donut.  Mommy gets a cream filled glazed donut.  And Olviia gets 5 donut holes.  And poor Sophie gets a plain piece of sandwich bread hahaha.

 아직 이맛을 몰라서 천만 다행입니다. 

가게에 들어오면 도넛을 이렇게 뚤어져라 처다봅니다.

궁금하긴 한가봅니다

Luckily Sophie has never tasted a donut, so she really doesn't know what she's missing out on.
When we go to the donut shop she just stairs at the donuts though.

일주일에 딱 한번 먹는 도넛..좋은가 봅니다. 
Once a week.... we love donuts!

 

도넛 다 먹고나서..
햄,치즈. 할로피뇨 고추가 들어있는 크로쌍..
이것도 정말 맛있습니다.매콤 짭조름하면서 빵은 어찌나 부드러운지...
After we finish our donuts, we chase them with a HOT Jalapeno and cheese croissant.  They are sooo money.

 다 먹고 나면 바다에서 신나게 놉니다.
다빈이도 바다 바람이 좋은가 봅니다..
After we're done eating we let the girls play on the beach for an hour or so.

모래위에쉬고 있는 새들을 보고는 신나게 달려나갑니다..
The girls love chasing the birds.

 새들과 잡기 놀이를 한참을 하더니 피곤한가 봅니다.
They still haven't caught one yet :)

저희 가족은 토요일 오전을 이렇게 보냅니다.

디즈니 영화 알라딘을 보셨나요?

알라딘이라는 원숭이 아부와 함께 좀도둑으로 살아가는 한 성실한 청년이 마법의 램프의 요정인 지니의 도움으로 사악한 마법사 자파를 이겨내고 마침내 아그라바의 공주님인 자스민과 결혼을 하는  해피 엔딩 스토리인 영화입니다.
혜빈이가 좋아하는 애니메이션영화중 하나입니다.


작년 할로윈때는 제가 골라 주는대로 입었는데..올해는 꼭 자스민 공주가 되고 싶다고 합니다.
그러면서 아빠는 알라딘을 해야하고  다빈이는 아부를 하라고 합니다. 그러면서 저는 자파를 하라고 합니다.  왜 하필 사악하고 무시무하게 생기 나쁜 역할인 자파를 구지 저보고 하라고 하는지......

This year Olivia decided that she wanted to be Princess Jasmine from Disney's movie Aladdin.  And she wanted Daddy to dress up as Aladdin, Sophie to dress up as Aladdin's trusted sidekick Abu, and she wanted Mommy to be....... Jafar, of course!!  Why would she want Mommy to be the bad guy??

교회 친구집에 모여서 한참을 놀다가...

점점 어두워 지자 혜빈이가 젤 좋아하는 시간 Trick or Treat 를 했습니다.

Some of our friends from church invited us over for a little get together.  After hanging out for a while we went Trick or Treat-ing!!  Olivia loves to Trick or Treat.

올해는 작년보다 캔디를 참 많이도 받았습니다. 

캔디 주머니가 무겁다면서 자꾸만 저보고 들랍니다.
She got so much candy that she kept asking me to help her carry her bag because it was so heavy!

동네 이웃집분들 참 후하시지요..
집에와서 펼쳐보니 이렇게나 많이 받았습니다.
작년에는 받은 캔디를 하나씩 하나씩 종류별로 다 정리해서 늘어놓더니만
올해는 하도 많은지 정리도 하지 않습니다.

이 많은 캔디와 초콜렛 중 딱 한개 어떤 것을 이날밤 혜빈이가 먹었을까요?

This year she got way more candy than last.  Last year she sorted every little piece of candy into organized lines.  This year, she got so much candy that she didn't even bother sorting it.

Out of all this candy, we gave her once piece to eat before bed.  Which one do you think she chose??
